Vasaparken Stockholm 1915.jpg
Vasaparken in Stockholm. A bandstand is being erected in the western part of the park. The row of houses in the background is the street Dalagatan between Odengatan and Observatoriegatan. April 1915, according to an album where a copy of the photo is pasted. -- The newspaper Dagens Nyheter, May 8, 1915, page 3, reports that Vasaparken had not previously had a bandstand, but that one was being built on one of the grassy areas in one of the park’s highest sections, approximately opposite the street Uppsalagatan (now Gästrikegatan). It was to be completed by June 1, 1915. The bandstand was demolished in 1938 when a new one was built in approximately the same location."
